As you may have guessed, we get excited about anything to do with Flowers, Plants and Gardening in General. We are constantly learning and discovering unique or better ways of doing what we do. We look forward to proudly showing off our accomplishments and seeing other people's floral works of art.

Parlour Shows

All members are encouraged to participate 4 - 5 times a year at the monthly meeting Parlour Shows. These events are judged and include exhibits of members’ flowers and produce grown as well as creations of floral art based on the yearly schedule.

Spring Display

The Spring Floral Circle Show is a themed display of floral art held in a local mall every spring for public viewing.  Floral Circle members each present a display based on a theme, including a floral art exhibit.  Past themes have included The History of White Rock, St. Patrick’s Day, Miniature Gardens, and Celebrations. Note: This display is not judged and is purely for our enjoyment.

Fall Show

Our club's Fall Flower Show is held in a local mall on a Saturday in September each year. It includes plant exhibits with an emphasis on dahlias as well as floral art. Members compete by entering exhibits that are professionally judged for trophies and ribbons.

Trophies

A number of trophies are available to members and competition for these is guided by the show guidelines.  Several have been donated by various White Rock organizations and well-known individuals over the years. The history of the winners tagged on the trophies is an interesting historical record.

Floral Art

Many members of the Club are members of the Floral Circle. They arrange floral masterpieces to be judged in competition at our Parlour Shows and formal Flower Shows. The Floral Circle group meets monthly and enjoys learning new activities involving floral art.  They also create floral arrangements for sale at the Plant and Bake Sale in May.  Annually, members make well over 100 small arrangements which are donated to senior citizens residences at Christmas.

Novice classes in Floral Art are available to interested members who are eager to participate in the yearly Parlour shows.
